Legend of the Five Rings
Legend of the Five Rings (L5R) is a roleplaying game, set in a sort of westernised version of feudal Japan, with a Chinese influence. Samurai, monks, dark magic, ninja, courtly politics and oni (demons) are strong flavours, along with Honor, Glory, Courage, Trechery, Deceipt and Faith.
The background is very deep and interesting, while the game mechanics are simple, effective and fast. Combat is tastily lethal, and is something smart players will wish to avoid.
